[BREAKING NEWS] Was Idriss Deby's Son Really Killed?.

Chadian media have reported conflicting reports of shootings at Chad's presidential palace in N'Djamena over a dispute between the family of the late Idriss Déby over the appointment of his son Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno as his father's successor...
In a series of messages from Tchadinfos via Twitter, several unnamed sources denied that the shooting had taken place. But Toubou's side quoted security sources as saying Mahamat was wounded in the shooting. "The interim president is still alive and he has no shots and there is no conflict between Mahamat and his brother Zakaria," Chachados said.

Déby has many children, many marriages, and children who are unknown. The pro-government Alwahida Info newspaper reported that gunfire was heard in Ati, 378 km east of N'Djamena after prisoners tried to escape. But the newspaper said the "dust had settled" after troops were deployed to the area.
Idriss Deby's death was announced on Tuesday where he was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained on the battlefield.
